I do these tutorials for fun and not

for any profit. I use them also as a learning tool to

help others learn the fun and art of paint shop pro.

Everything I use I have collected don't claim to have

made anything other then the tag.

 This tutorial is written with the idea you

have some knowledge of PSP.

This was done in PSP 9 but should work with any.

SUPPLIES

Preset ~ double click on it and it will install for you.

Graphic of choice

Font of choice>I used forte, it's

in the supplies

Tubes of choice

Open supplies in PSP

Open frame image that is in the supplies,

or make one of your own.

Duplicate and close original.

Click on the inside of the frame>selection>

expand by 6

Add a new raster layer.

NOTE:

If your using a graphic or flood filling skip this

next step.

Effects>plug in Maura miester>

Change colors to your liking depending

on the background scene your going to use.

 

Layer>arrange>move down.

Add a new layer>copy paste into selection

misted graphic of choice.

Deselect

On your frame layer>effects plug in>eye candy 5

impact perspective eye shadow

drop shadow low

 

 

Now we will add some tubes.

Add garland image flip>copy n paste as new layer

Resize to your liking. I went 90 percent

Move to the top of the frame>Take deform tool and pull

in on both ends downward until they are kind of rounded

if your happy with the way it looks>click anywhere

to get rid of the deform tool.

Give it a drop shadow

 

Open light tube>copy and paste as new layer

Resize by 75 percent>with deform tool set to scale

turn it how you want it.

Layer duplicate>Mirror

Don't worry about the center, we will cover it

up with a bell.

Add drop shadow

Merge down

Layer duplicate>mirror>flip>

With eraser tool get rid of what you don't want.

If your happy with the lights merge down.

Add bell 1 resize by 60 percent move to the center of

the lights>if there is still something you don't want to

show use eraser tool and get rid of it.

 Add drop shadow

 Open tree 1 copy and paste as new layer>

move over to the right side of your work.

Drop Shadow

 Open lady resize by 60 percent>move over by tree

add drop shadow

 Add Santa box>resize 60 percent>mirror

add drop shadow>place in front of lady

 Add pup>copy paste as new layer>resize by 50 percent

add drop shadow

 Add puppy n box resize by 50 percent

add drop shadow.

 Place 3 of those tubes over by the lady>with

mover tool place how you want them to look.

How mine looks now.

 

Add Reindeer 2>resize by 50 percent

add drop shadow.

Add snow tube I made if you wish and move it down

until its behind the tubes on the right.

 

 Add snowman 1>resize by 40 percent

add drop shadow.

 Add candy cane 1>resize by 50 percent

move to the left side of the frame>add

drop shadow

Duplicate the snow layer>image flip

 

Add>animals>resize by 70 percent

Move below the duplicate layer of snow.

Take and draw around the little bird

copy>edit cut>deselect add drop shadow

to the animals, paste as a new layer the little bird.

place him where you want.

I added him up on the lamp post>duplicate

and add another if you wish.

Add drop shadow

Believe tube>copy paste>resize by 35 percent

Drop shadow place where you want it.

Make any final adjustments you wish now.

If you have added all you wish at this time merge

all layers

Resize layers to your liking.

Copy and paste as a new layer paper

you want to use for your mask

I used paper 8

Layer>new mask layer>from image

merge group

Eye candy 5 impact glass>settings are in the supplies

double click on it, and they will go where you want them.

look for "candyimpactchristmas"

Resize the mask by 85 percent>merge all layers

Add a name>I used Forte>size 100>stroke 4

close off the background color.

Type name on image and convert to raster layer.

 Select inside each of the letters>expand by 2

I used paper 1 and took selection tool and made

a square large enough just to cover my name>copy

and paste as a new layer>invert>and edit cut.

Deselect>arrange move down>eye candy 5 impact glass

Make sure your on right layer and merge down.

Add drop shadow, and resize name if you want>place how you want it.

 Add your water mark and we are all done.
