Christmas in Pink

Tutorial by Jcuttlebear01 aka JoAnn
11/27/2011
I do these tutorials for fun and not
for any profit. I use them also as a learning tool to
help others learn the fun and art of paint shop pro.
Everything I use I have collected don't claim to have
made anything other then the tag.
Notes:
All settings will remain the same unless otherwise noted
This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP
Remember to save often in case your psp crashes.
I did this in PSP 9 but sure any one will work.
Scrap kit is from Baby Cakes called Christmas Blush
and you can find it HERE or HERE it is on sale right now.
I can't share this tube cause it's a pay to use.
So please don't use it unless you have a license
Product ID : PTE2375
You can find it HERE
SUPPLIES
Tube of choice
Font of choice
Mask of choice.
What I used is HERE
Plug in

Lets get started.

Open new image 800 X 800
Copy and paste onto your new image
bcs_pink_wreath from the kit.
Resize by 50%
Click inside the frame>selection
modify expand by 30 and repeat.
Pick a paper from the kit>bcs_paper_sixteen
copy and paste as a new layer>resize by 70%
Selection>invert>delete.
Deselect
Layer arrange and move down.
Next add a tree>bcs_white_tree_plain
for now I left it the size it is, going to put
some decorations on it first.
Copy and paste>bcs_garland resize by 50%
Move it where you want it>with eraser tool remove what
you don't want hanging over your tree.
 Before

After

Place a couple more where you want

The next one I only resized by 60%
You can take your deform tool>set to free hand
and bind them around some to give them a different look.
You can even mirror a couple so they kind of lay different.
Add drop shadow to each one.

copy and paste as a new layer>bcs_ornament
resize by 10% Place it where you want it with your mover tool.
Add a slight drop shadow.

Use different balls and resize, add drop shadow
arrange how you want them, how many you use
is totally up to you.
Add bows or anything else you want to, on the tree.
Use deform tool to turn and shape how you want them.
Once you have every thing on the tree like you want it
close off the 3 bottom layers and merge all visible.
Open up the layers now.
What mine looks like.

Resize by 80% and move over to the right of your work.

Next I added>bcs_pillow>resize by 20% move down
at the bottom of your tree>use deform tool to turn it slightly.
Add drop shadow
copy and paste as a new layer>bcs_gift, resize it by 20%
move and turn with deform tool.
Add drop shadow
Add candle of choice I added>bcs_candle_cluster, resize
it by 40% add drop shadow, I moved it down below the gifts.
Add bcs_deer resize by 35% add drop shadow
duplicate and mirror one of them move with deform tool
and turn and place where you like them best.
Add>bcs_bell resize it by 40% add drop shadow
move up to the top of the frame.
Add>bcs_flower_bow resize it by 40%, with deform tool
turn it slightly, place it up at the top of the bells.
You can take the earser tool and get rid of the bow part
that is on the bell if you wish up there at the top.
Add a drop shadow.

Now add your tube of choice
Move the tube layer down until its behind
the candles and that.
Move things around so they look right.
Add a drop shadow to the tube.
If your happy with every thing then merge all layers.

Add a new raster layer
Flood fill with a color of choice,
or you can use a paper of choice.
We are going to add the mask.
I flood filled with #ac697c>Layer move down.
Layers>new mask layer>from image

Merge group
Resize your merged layer by 90%
And the mask by 95%
Move the merged tag how you want it.
On the mask layer I add super blade pro
effect. You can click on the dice until you get an
effect like you want.
These are the settings I went with.

Add a drop shadow, use a color to compliment your mask.

Add any thing else you want to.
Be sure and add your water mark to your work of art.
Crop your tag, and resize to your liking.
Your now ready to save your work of art.
Would love to see what you do with this.
Thank you for giving my tutorial a try.
I do hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, and learned
something new.
Have any questions or need help.
