Fairy land

Tutorial by Jcuttlebear01 aka JoAnn
11/19/2011
I do these tutorials for fun and not
for any profit. I use them also as a learning tool to
help others learn the fun and art of paint shop pro.
Everything I use I have collected don't claim to have
made anything other then the tag.
Notes:
All settings will remain the same unless otherwise noted
This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP
Remember to save often in case your psp crashes.
I did this in PSP 9 but sure any one will work.
Plug ins
Filters Unlimited HERE
Eye candy 5 impact HERE
ap_silverline HERE
Supplies
Graphic of choice
Tubes of choice
Accents
Gold fill
Font of choice
Mine I used are
Open new image 800 x 550
Pick from the graphic of choice light color for foreground,
and a dark color for the background.
I'm using the colors below.
light color for foreground #b2aa3b
and a dark color for background #3f5a3b
With selection tool set to rectangle draw
a rectangle I went 750 x 300
Start in left hand corner and watch at the
bottom of your psp for the measurements.

Move down to about the center of your image.
Duplicate this layer.
On the original.

Adjust>hue and saturation>colorize it to the color you want it to be.

Effects>eye candy 5 impact bevel

Back on the duplicated layer>image resize by 85 percent.
magic wand and activate this layer>flood fill with a different color.
Deselect
Filters unlimited and add a paper effect
or another of your choice.
I used cotton paper fine.
Give this layer the same impact bevel as before.
Change your selection tool to ellipse and draw out a circle that is
higher then you rectangles
New raster layer and flood fill with a color of choice.
Give this a texture of your choice.
I used the paper one again.
Selection>modify contract by 2
Selection>Select selection Borders
Layer new raster and flood fill with
a nice gold I used the bead pattern.
Deselect
Layers merge down.
Layer>arrange and move down
This is mine so far.
Set this aside for now
Open a new image
200 X 200 flood fill with a color
you want the square to be.
Copy and paste it to your image>make
sure your on your top layer
Image rotate by 45 degrees>left
with mover tool, move over to the left of your work.

Layer duplicate>twice>image mirror
The other one move to the center.
On the one on the left>select inside the square.
Take and cut a section from your graphic
you want to put into the square, with your
selection tool.
Copy and paste into selection,
Selection>select, select border
Same selection as before.
Add new raster layer and flood fill
with the gold pattern.

Deselect
Layer merge down.
Add a nice drop shadow

Repeat the above steps with the other square,
but I cut out a different part of the graphic,
so they would look different.
Now on the center square>deform tool and pull
it out and up to make it larger.

If all is well this is what you will have.
Now I didn't have enough room to work so I canvas sized by image
out to 900 I like room to place my tubes.
Will resize later.
Copy and paste> fairy tube and resize by 70 percent.
Move to the left side.
Add drop shadow.
Copy and paste>a mushroom of choice resize
about 60 percent and move over on the right side.
Add drop shadow
Copy and paste>the squirrel and resize him to
around 50 percent>place on top of the mushroom.
Add drop shadow
Copy and paste>duplicate the fern layer>on the original
and resize it by 70 percent> place between the first 2 squares there.
Take the duplicated one and move it down and behind the mushroom.
Resize it once more.
Take easer tool and do away with what you don't want
hanging in your picture.
Do the same with the other one.
before

 after
You can add any thing else you wish to.
I added a couple butterflies to the picture.
Resized them by 20 percent.
If your happy with every thing you can now
merge all layers.
I took the deform tool and made the tag smaller.
Then
Crop off any extra you don't want around your tag.
Add a new raster layer>arrange and send to bottom.
Flood fill with a color you want your mask to be.
Layers>new mask layers>From image
Merge group.
Add any thing else you want to.
Be sure and add your water mark to your work of art.
Your now ready to save your work of art.
Would love to see what you do with this.

something new.
